Minimalism and negative space
This is a relatively new talk but already has had great feedback.
It covers what minimalism is, the history of minimalism in art and photography, examples of different approaches to minimalism, common characteristics of minimalist images, how minimalism can be applied to any genre, and the impact of negative space.
The aim is to help people understand what minimalism is, that the genre is a lot broader than you first think and that you can apply it to any genre of photography; how some of the concepts in minimalism can improve your non-minimalistic images; and to encourage people to go out and have a go at photographing in this manner.
